What a bucket list shoot come true!
I first met this beautiful family a couple years ago when Nicole reached out to me to photograph her husband, Dominick's homecoming at the airport (to see those photos, check out this blog: Home for the Holidays). He had been overseas for a full year and capturing the pure joy and genuine emotion that came over their family that day is one of my all-time favorite memories as a photographer. All of that said, when they moved to the Savannah area, she mentioned how beautiful Jekyll Island's Driftwood Beach was and how she would love to do a family session there someday. Well, the day finally arrived! What an absolute dream this location is! Not only is it unique and almost fantasy-like, it's chock full of fun for the kiddos too. The boys had so much fun searching for and catching crabs, as well as climbing on all of the giant pieces of driftwood scattered about the beach. There's so much more to this island and I can't wait to explore it even more on my next shoot down there! Who's in??
